CAREER: Teacher at Seneca Community College;  retired 1989. Worked part time at North York Winter Tennis Club since retiring.

• Played softball, track and field and ice hockey including university and beyond
• Volunteer with tennis clubs, badminton clubs and Senior Games since early 1970s

SENIOR GAMES PARTICIPATION:

• Tennis participant at Actifest 1990 in London
• Tennis participant at Actifest 1992 in Hamilton
• Event Convener, tennis and badminton from 1995 to present in District 15
• District Coordinator, District 15 from 1996 to present
• Co-Chair District 15 committee since 2007 to present

AWARDS AND HONOURS:

• Bob Secord Award, 2006
• OTA Bruce Childs Community Tennis Club Award, 1998
• Honorary member of Don Mills Tennis Club
• Life Member of Parkway Valley Tennis Club
• Several volunteer appreciation awards

HOW DO YOU KEEP FIT AND PREPARE FOR THE SENIOR GAMES?

I play tennis in summer and winter. I also walk, shovel snow, cut grass, garden and more.

Keeps one involved with people and programs. Keeps body and mind active for better health and enjoyment of life.
