I am writing to suggest some research into a recent dilemma I've encountered. I am a female, single, in my late 50s and retired.

I recently moved to the K-W area to be closer to my daughter and her family, to be able to spend more time with my young grandchildren. My dilemma, though, is that in doing this I'm now further away from good friends. It seems very difficult to network to meet new people in similar situations (female or male.) There seems to be activities for older seniors in my area but not for us young seniors.

I am not thinking of a dating service as the internet has lots of those, but more of a way to meet people who would like to go for dinner, a movie... more
