Pfizer Canada has launched a new awareness campaign to help Canadians stop smoking that emphasizes the “pivotal moments” that help them make the big decision.

According to a recent Leger Marketing survey commissioned by Pfizer, nearly two-thirds (65 per cent) of past smokers attribute a pivotal moment as their inspiration to quit. Of those moments, negative perceptions of smokers among social circles, illness, a milestone birthday, starting a relationship with a non-smoker and starting a family were some of the top motivators.
