Senior-friendly cars coming down the road

Heavy doors that are too far away, too many buttons, uncomfortable belts getting in your face – cars can be unfriendly for many older adults.

But relief may be just down the road.

Researchers at the University of Western Ontario have designed a tool – essentially a questionnaire – that may help automakers build more senior-friendly vehicles and senior drivers make better choices. In the end, it’s all about keeping them on the road longer and safer.
