Sixty-year-old Gene Simmons, of the rock group Kiss and the reality TV series Family Jewels, will appear as a character named Dr. Love in a Dr. Pepper ad during the Super Bowl as part of the traditional unveiling of new TV commercial campaigns during the championship football game. The 44th Super Bowl will be played on Sunday, Feb. 7, at Dolphin Stadium in Miami.
